Your Time is Your Money!

Your Time is Your Money!
By Emmanuel Oluwatosin

It is quite so unfortunate to note that many people just live with no picture of where they are going or what lies ahead. They exist merely with nothing to show forth for their existence. The only thing they know how to do best is to mark time. This is clearly seen in the way many manage their time. It is worth remembering that a week from now it will be a week from now and what becomes of you after then is determined by how you utilise your time right now. Whether you manage it well or not, either way, you will surely achieve a certain result only that the result might not be what you expected.

Start by reducing some of times best enemies. Probably the strongest of those has just two initialsTV. Is your TV time cutting into your productive time? Take this little test. Estimate how many hours of TV you watched last week. Be honest with yourself. On average, people spend 20 to 30 hours watching TV every week no thanks to movie industry that are being released into the market almost every week. If you reduce that even by a little, you have more time to take the actions that will lead you towards success.

What about the time spent just surfing the Internet with no end result? Many times we just sit down behind the computer system wasting away the precious gift of time God has given us. An average person spends most of his/her time online in the chat room chatting with people they know nothing about from Adams.

I really wonder what the life of some will turn out to be if Yahoo, Hotmail or most of the chat rooms decide today to shut down their chat rooms. Imagine what our world would have turned out to be if all those hours are converted to doing things that add to our lives. The problem is NOT that there isnt enough time. Time doesnt expand. The problem is that many burden themselves with too many irrelevant activities. They always want to take part in even activities that do not necessary demand their attention.

You often hear people say that they are busy. But the question is how productive is what they are doing with their time. Dont confuse being busy with working efficiently - activities can be tension-relieving, not goal achieving. By concentrating on fewer, priorities regularly on a fixed schedule, you can achieve a lot more in less time. Time management is an interesting notion. Though it may not be possible to own or control time, you can manage yourselves in time - your awareness of what you are doing and how you are doing it within the construct of time. You can actually determine what you do with the gift of 24 hours that you get each day from God.

You definitely have the ability to influence your experience of time and what you do with your time. What you put your attention on increases, and so it is with your perception of how you use time. Its all about focus. Focusing your attention is one thing you needs to learn if you indeed want to make the best of your time. Since you cannot focus on everything, you must be selective about what you spend your time on. This means that we must prioritize. The key to success is how you allocate your time to the important ones.

If you want to make good use of your time, youve got to know whats most important and then give it all youve got. ~ Lee Iacocca ~

You have, no doubt, heard the phrase the time value of money. It means that a dollar in your hand today is worth more than a dollar in your hand a year from now. Why? Because of what you can do with that dollar over the next year. You can invest that dollar in any business or even in an interest - bearing project and have $1.05 at the end of the year. If you decide to take your money in a year, your opportunity cost (foregone investment) will be five cent. Not to mention what inflation will have done to your purchasing power within the time frame under consideration.

Think about how many hours you are losing each time you engage in those irrelevant activities. Apply the same thought process to when you actually ARE working also maximizing your time. Decide what better use of your time is every time. By having this uppermost in your mind at all times, you can always decide what the best use of your time is. Time is money and money is time. So, spend them wisely.

Create the Life You Want Through Hypnosis

Create the Life You Want Through Hypnosis
By Dorothy M. Neddermeyer, PhD

What is holding you back from living the life youve always dreamed about? What is stopping you from reaching your goals? What is preventing you from enjoying healthy loving relationships? If you knew the answer to these questions you wouldnt be interested in reading this article.

Hypnosisa.k.a. HypnotherapyIs an excellent and safe healing technique to bring about changes that enhance the potential for success and happiness.

Hypnosis/Regression takes you back to your beginning . . . the place where beliefs are formed. Combined with hypnosis, Regression is a unique and intuitive process that bridges the present and the past, the practical and the sacred. From that vantage point, lasting change can occur, in which negative values, principles, and patterns can be discarded, positive doctrines can be reinforced, and a new philosophy for life can be developed.

Hypnosis/Regression enables a person to:Gain insight into present difficulties and past eventsDiscover the negative beliefs that shape present life decisions and actionsIncrease self-esteem and optimism about lifeUnlock potentialImprove relationshipsCreate new beliefs that reflect the true inner selfReduce anxiety, tension and stressWeight lossSmoke cessationIncrease creativity and clarityEnhance intuition and inner peaceStrengthen immune systemAcquire a deeper perspective and greater vision of your life purposeEmbrace life as an enriching opportunity to learnCreatemind-body healingphysically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually Integrate mind, body and spiritRelease old patterns and phobias from previous and present livesRemove physical imprints, negative memories and attachments from past lives

Many people wonder how soon they will see the results. Results depend on the symptoms you are working on and how deep and profound the experience was, which created the symptom. The results may be immediate after the first session or it may take several sessions before you see the results you desire.

Another reason many people neglect engaging with a mental health professional is a concern about being able to come for the required sessions. For example: What if I can't take time off work? I am very busy. Which prompts me to wonder why you value yourself so little, or that you put everyone and everything else first. If you do not take care of yourself, who will? The majority of mental health professionals have evening hours. Call until you find someone who has evening hours.

And last, but not least you deserve to have peace of mind and a happy life.

A BIG Secret Of Successful People

A BIG Secret Of Successful People
By Mike Litman

I want to share with you a 'secret' of mine that has helped me live my dreams at 30 years old.

This 'secret of success' is one I've learned throughout the years from mentors of mine.

A few of these people run businesses that do over 150 million dollars a year in revenue.

Here's the deal.

Most people and (I used to be like this) for 7 plus years are very passive.

They're always passive at their jobs.

They go for their dreams very 'safely'.

They 'La De Da'' through life.

They 'hope' something good happens.

>From my experience, this is not the right attitude for success. No way, Jose'.

Let me share with you an ACTION of success.

Let me share with you a PERSPECTIVE of success that I've seen through people who are living their dreams, both personally and financially.

**Successful people ACT from a sense of URGENCY.

Let me say that again.

**Successful people ACT from a sense of URGENCY.

There's an URGENCY to accomplish tasks.

There's an URGENCY to live their dreams.

There's an URGENCY to get things done.

They're ATTACKING vs. WAITING.

Big difference.

Huge difference.

You have to go to dreams with a SENSE OF URGENCY.

None of us are going to live till 150 years old.

You have to ignite that part of you that can CATAPULT you to GREATER productivity and ACTION.

Ask yourself:

If I was going to act from a sense of URGENCY, what 2 actions would I take today?

Write them down and then DO IT.

Come on, YOU can do more than you EXPECT of yourself.

GRAB a copy of The Power of Concentration Success System because it will help you CREATE this mindset for you to SUCCEED.

You can do it.

YES, you can!

Are you ready or really ready to make your next 7 days awesome?

I thought so, let's go!

Have a GREAT weekend and never give up on your dreams! (It took me 7 years to find my focus, it's not over until you quit).

Talk to you soon.

10 Secrets to a Better Life

10 Secrets to a Better Life
By Rix Quinn

If you're over 25, you've probably received several thousand tips from parents, teachers, and friends. How many of these do you still recall?

I'm well past 25, but after all these years I remember only ten lessons that really helped me. Here they are:

1.Prepare for the future, but live fully in the present moment.

2.The video of life doesn't have a ewind button. You can't correct yesterday. You can only do better today and tomorrow.

3.Treat your parents well. Without them, you wouldn't be here.

4.Try to learn something new each day, and teach something new each day.

5.An open mind welcomes both sunlight and rain. Listen carefully to new ideas, and to people with whom you might not agree. Every person you meet can become your teacher.

6.Life is a cooperative venture. Those who lived before us left us some wonderful instruction books.

7.The three greatest gifts you can give your children are acceptance, encouragement, and preparation. The road of life can sometimes be an uphill climb.

8.Inspire others to read and write better. These are two of life's most important skills.

9.Nearly everybody you meet is dealing with some sort of problem. Be kind and forgiving.

10.Choose a career that fits your personality, and life goals that help others.

10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace Wayne Dyer Book MiniReview

10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace - Wayne Dyer Book Mini-Review
By Chris Knight

Dr. Wayne Dyer published his best-selling book, 10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace and it's an easy read. It's the type of book that you can crack open and find nuggets on pretty much every page you open it to.

Unlike books that give specific advice about actions you could take to achieve success, Dr. Dyer doesn't share any advice on goal-setting, planning your future, or how to listen to older folks who have been there, done that. Instead, he wrote the book to help folks avoid feelings of inadequacy or inner remorse for not having listened to their inner guidance. While the book does have discussion around becoming a greater 'success' in life, perhaps it's more appropriate to say that the book is about finding your own 'inner peace' moreso than success itself.

As I read his book, I couldn't help thinking that the 10 secrets are really reminders of what we already know to be true. Most people turn into autonomous robots going through the daily routine of life without giving any thoughts or meditation to slow down enough to listen to their own inner voice.

Some of Dr. Dyer's ten principles include:

  • Being open to everything and attached to nothing.
  • Embracing silence, since meditation is the only way to truly come to know your Source.
  • Knowing that you can't solve a problem with the same mind that created it.
  • Treating yourself as if you already are what you'd like to become.

Stop Looking for Occasions to Be Offended

One takeaway that I took from the book that is worth sharing: When I first read the book, there must have been at least 10 times that I read something that I wished someone else in my life would better understand.

Example: On Page 110, Dr. Dyer says, Stop Looking for Occasions to Be Offended and I immediately thought of someone else that I know who is easily offended or looks to be offended daily.

A few years later, I came to understand that this message was for me to understand (and not for others I thought 'should' understand the concepts). Seems more important to be able to release our judgment of others who choose to become offended easily.

We each create our own personal experience and really only have full control over our own perceptions of reality. Conversely, we have very little control over others. Therefore, it's the work of the ego that encourages us to judge and compare what others do against what we think they should do. Not exactly the formula for 'inner peace.' Therefore one of the secrets Dr. Dyer encourages us to consider is that there are no justified resentments.

Conclusion:

If you've been reading Dr. Wayne Dyer's self help books since the 1970's, you'll quickly realize that this book offers or reinforces many of the same messages he has been talking about for decades. Still, it would be hard to read this book and not take 10 things out of it before you finish the first chapter. The 10th secret is my favorite. The ISBN for 10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace is: 1561708755 and it's worth picking up if you don't already own it.

The Mindset Of A Successful Team Leader

The Mindset Of A Successful Team Leader
By Joe Love

Everyone talks about leadership but most people cant define it except in the most general terms. How many times have you heard the word charismatic coupled with the word leadership, as if they were meant to go together? Lets cut through all of this and look at some facts.

Leadership is part of the political process because its done using political tools. Management means moving things around on the bottom line so it comes out right. Its possible to be a manager of disaffected people. They cant play off rank entirely, nor would they choose to, because theyre excited about what they see, and they want to share that vision. If your people dont get it, leaders blame themselves, not the people theyre trying to lead, a sharp contrast to standard management thinking.

Leadership is in shorter supply than management because its a great deal more work. It also offers a greater payoff. Leaders literally revel in the accomplishments of their people.

Here are some traits of true leaders, things for you to watch for and emulate.

* Leaders believe that each person is valuable, able, and responsible. Real leaders see leadership as a process for empowering people to see themselves in positive ways, as competent, productive, and important.

* Leaders recognize the potential in others that mere managers miss because leaders are looking for it. They come into leadership roles knowing that empowerment is part of the political process.

* Leaders view themselves favorably as valuable, contributing team members, not managers. They see a field of political equals, not subordinates to be dealt with.

* Leaders know the Golden Rule of good business. They treat people as they expect to be treated. Leaders model the respect they expect in all personal and professional interactions with others.

* Leaders realized that each person has untapped skills that can be harnessed to achieve organizational goals, and at a profit. A leader must have the courage to look for hidden abilities, including those that other managers have written off. Leaders do this by observing, monitoring, and most important, listening.

* Leaders empower people across the board. This means they dont play favorites. Theyre fair and even-handed regardless of their personal feelings.

* Leaders expect to be role models, and they deliberately model the behaviors they want others to adopt. What do others see? Do they see you behaving in ways you want them to copy?

* Leaders are realistic in awarding praise. When giving praise be specific, timely, and accurate.

* Leaders work to develop trusting and professional relationships with everyone. The better you know people, the better you are at reading situations and predicting reactions.

* Leaders are organized, competent, and prepared, even when these are not their native characteristics.

* Leaders build cohesive teams. They do not merely manage people.

Now, lets examine the art of a political team and harnessing the power of teamwork. What is this thing called teamwork? Everyone talks about it, almost in lockstep with leadership, but most people have no idea what it means.

Teamwork means how you think, not what you do. The political mindset is, What can I do that will make you want to do it my way? The team mindset is, More than 75% of the time, 75% of the people will put the companys interests first. Simple isnt it? However, studies show that only one in ten employees have a team mindset. But you can, and it will distinguish you positively from your competitors. If youre seen as both a leader and a team player, youll be in the strongest possible competitive position.

What is teamwork? Teamwork means that more than 75% of the time more than 75% of the employees put the interests of the team first, even when doing so requires more effort, time, or money, or all three.

For example, if someone, who had not been asked, offered to assist a co-worker who was having trouble with a job or a task, and the helper didnt think of getting credit or thanks, this would be a strong example of teamwork. This would extend to customers, clients and fellow employees who arent strictly speaking, your team members.

The strongest member of a team is the one who shores up and willingly compensates for the deficiencies of weaker members and doesnt call attention to the fact he or she is doing it. And has the mindset, I dont care who dropped the ball. If I can stretch to reach it, Ill pick it up and get it back in play.

Team members must talk in terms of we not I. If you think this is too basic, consider that belonging to the group is the workplace prize for some people. Maybe you dont share that view, but how does that invalidate what others believe? Belonging is a basic, human need. When employees complain of office cliques, theyre really saying they feel excluded. Management cannot effectively build teams when cliques have power.

Shine the spotlight on each member of the team, regardless of the level of his or her ability. There are always stars, but if only they get the spotlight, the others will relax and sit on their hands. Can you get the job done with only the stars? Certainly not! Smart team builders share all the credit and absorb all the blame.

Canvass the team regularly for individual opinions and respond instantly to complaints your hear on the grapevine. Team-builders never suppress dissent. They go one-on-one with whomever is dissatisfied and meet his or her needs. Why? Because the leaders attention to their needs is what keeps workers loyal to the team. They know theyre not just one person in a faceless and interchangeable crowd. They belong.

Team leaders always give support and unrequested assistance in ways which dont cause others to loose face. When you pick up the ball, be sure the colleague youre helping doesnt feel diminished. Always make sure youre coaching and not correcting.

Team building isnt a guru-driven, mystical process. Its a political process of brokering and getting the buy-in from others. People dont necessarily want to be team players, nor do they instinctively recognize the advantages. A good team builder is worth ten good managers when he or she shows fellow employees why participation is in their best interest by revealing the benefits and giving examples.

Team building is an art. Its learned from role models, trial-and-error and occasional failures. The key element is mindset. The builders mindset is, Is this good for the team? Then Ill do it. If its bad for the team? Forget it! Credit keeps flowing to team players, instead of surrounding and isolating the team leader, who shouldnt, if he or she has the right mindset, want that to happen or let it happen.

Your Wardrobe Your Life

Your Wardrobe - Your Life
By Liz Cassidy

Have you ever been clothes shopping, or worn clothes? Just kidding Ok, this applies to you, please read on.

Remember that time when you saw an item of clothing on the rack or shop window and decided to try it on. And having tried it on, there was something about it which was not quite right, not quite you. Maybe it was a bit tight on the shoulders, sleeves were a bit too long. Maybe the colour wasnt your best. But even with all that, did you go ahead and buy it anyway? Maybe it itched but it looked fantastic, and besides whats a little discomfort to look this good?

So, where is the item of clothing now? Is it at the back of the wardrobe, still unworn, not seeing the light of day. Have a look through the contents of your wardrobe. Is there anything else in there which no longer fits? Is a bit old? Too small? Too big? Or you have just plain gotten tired of? Perhaps there are clothes in your wardrobe that are old favourites, soo comfy but shabby, worn and out of date? While theyre comfy, they stop you from looking your absolute best keep you from shining? Or perhaps you have clothes in your wardrobe that you didnt choose. Someone else chose them for you, and you may be wearing them anyway to please the buyer.

If any of the above got you nodding and saying yes, take a long hard look at the contents of your wardrobe again. Now, how many areas of your life are there that dont quite fit, you have grown out of, dont suit you any more but you havent noticed? Are there areas of your life that you have put to the back of your mind, and havent sent the light of day or clear thought? Are there areas of your life that you didnt choose, someone else chose for you and you are putting up with the results? Are there areas in your life where you are indeed comfortable, but you no longer shine, you are in a bit of a rut, and it may be time to move on a little. Perhaps there is an area of your life that itches a little, it has some discomfort, but it looks so goood?

Often the little choices we make in our clothes shopping and wardrobe contents are reflected in our bigger choices and in our lives.

So what? I hear you say. Well, if you are totally happy with your wardrobe contents and your life, then leave well alone. But, if there are clothes and parts of your life that itch, are uncomfortable, look shabby and out of date or that you didnt choose. Maybe it is indeed time to look at your choices and decisions.

First up, an easy action. Get a couple of bin liners, and clear out your wardrobe, all the old shabbies, tight fittings, or too bigs straight into the bin bags. Go on. Surprise your favourite charity with some extra donations. Now, notice that even though there may be less in your wardrobe how much more space is in there. All your choices fit, and even better they make you look your best. In fact, you have even more choices now with fewer clothes. How does that work?

Once you have cleaned out your wardrobe, and seen how easy it is to get more choices. Get a sheet of paper and make a list of all the areas of your life that itch, dont fit and are uncomfortable. Make a separate list of the areas of your life you did not choose and are putting up with. Finally make a list of things in your life which are out of date and it is time to clear out. This list may include jobs, items, knick knacks, thoughts, feelings, people who you do not want to stay in touch with or habits.

Once these lists are done, you can make some decisions. Look carefully at each item you have listed and ask yourself honestly do you want to change? If yes, then it is time to get a strategy together to move on. If you can do this yourself go ahead. It is easier with support and help from a good friend or a coach to assist and add clarity.

Take small steps initially. Start with the simple areas of your life you want to clean out. Then with confidence move on to the bigger areas. Recognise and celebrate each success and see your choices grow with each step. Tick off each item on your lists and see the changes.

Now you have more space and choices in both your wardrobe and your life Is it time to go shopping?
